The kid wanted a bird feeder, so we made one. From some pine and birch bark from the woods. We used Gorilla glue for its waterproof properties, and it foams up and fills gaps under the bark roof tiles nicely. Messy cleanup, though.
We drilled two holes through the bottom, for drainage. Hot-glued a bit of screen material over the holes, else all the food would fall out.
