Just cleaned the rust off, I think. By all accounts a piece of junk. But, according to Patrick Leach, it was made for just under 100 years. And that’s kind of amazing. If it was so terrible, why did so many people buy it for so long, especially when there were plenty of alternatives available? Price, probably. In 1898, the 110 was 45¢, $12.92 in 2015’s money. According to Stanley’s 1953 catalog it was their “most popular of all non-adjustable block planes.” I won’t put much work into this one.
